yes you are suppose to as burner pressure is not proof the appliance is using the correct volume of gas

Most new boilers "service" mode is on the heating side of things when you then do your FGA readings and gas rate. Well on worcesters, vaillants and glowworm off the top of my head anyway.

it must be good to be a gas lecturer knowing everything.Constantly teaching the same stuff everyday having every rule and reg constantly being used day in day out.As my old tradesman once said if you end up ****e on the tools son,you could always go and teach.

who is this snide comment aimed at, and if your tradesmen was telling you that you were ****e then why didnt you listen to him and get out of the trade?

my first tutor at college when i did my nvq (about 17 years ago) was the best person i have ever seen on the tool's, he did some subby work for a few local firms and i got to see his work first hand. He was the best tutor i have ever had over the 17years i have been training and re training, probably because of his experience's and knowledge on the tools.

so as you may of guessed i disagree with the statement of s*** on the tools then teach, most good tutors are very good experienced tradesmen, if they are not then i would expect they may lack something when they come to teaching, every good tutor i have come across had good practical experience.

now as for contract mangers, site supervisors and managers many lack basic knowledge from my experiences.

surely you complete the benchmark and all the usual safety checks??

I agree with the contract managers etc, alot of them don't have a scooby on the practical side of things.
