If i'm doing a soakaway i drill from floor level at an angle so that the pipe lands under the ground. That is where a 900mm long sds max comes in handy

Is that to avoid pipe to be run outside on the wall ? So from low level internal straight to the soakway :)

If gas safe pull it i will go back and do the remedial work, i contacted my local gas safe inspector today, meeting him there tomorrow!

He is confident there is no problem!

if gas inspector says its ok ask for it in writing (good luck with wi that one) and take and shove it a sore place on the BG "engineer", seriously if the gas safe bod says its fine then thats a trading standards/fraud issue they are trying to con your customer and giving you a bad reputation, place some local ads offering free safety checks on BG installs, then tell ask how much they paid and say "HOW MUCH?" then tell them you would have done it properly for half that and you will certainly service every year for them

There is about 300mm of waste pipe which drops straight into the ground and terminates into a soakaway!

If it made it through the last blast of minus 14 i am not losing any sleep over it !!!!!

true right i wouldnt worry either

Meeting GS inspector tomorrow, spoke to building control and got no where, spoke to british gas and they denied it was ever said!

Will keep you posted

whats that beeping noise?

oh yea its BG reversing

The condense pipe should not run straight into the ground, it should be 500mm away from the wall.

I have picked up a bit of work lately altering condense pipes installed by other installers, BG seem to be having a purge @ the moment.

The soakaway should be 500mm away from the house, Not sure where you would buy 500mm clips from!

This condense does not need altering kev, It is well above the requirements needed
