This is my first so be gentle with me.
Just started to refit bathroom (not a pro but reasonably competant) and new bath is lower than previous and although it could be raised higher, Me Missus want to keep it as low as possible. The new waste is in center of bath and soil stack is on opposite far corner about 5' away with inlet resting on floorboards. Joist run contra to pipe run and lots of copper in way to allow new connection to soil under floor level.
question:- how high does the trap need to be for the bath water to flow away and
is there a suitable shallow trap that world help?
many thanks
Rich

the right fall is about 18mm per metre you can get 2 piece low line traps which raise the outlet a bit if its going to a soil pipe it must be a deep seal trap which low line traps are

steve can u show me the trap u talk of ..cheers ..
i have used the osma low line traps !!! are there shorter ones ??
there are also flexible connectors which could be used in toe with an inline waste trap??

Cheers guys (assuming you are guys?) several low traps are available Ones called a "shallow Batch trap"? another is the "low level bath trap" and the last is a shallow bottle trap. what's best? is one better that the rest. I have plenty of room directly under the bath to fit the trap but the lower i go the less fall i'm going to get.
as for moving the inlet into the soil. thats not an option as I've said central heating and water feed pipes access the same riser and there is a main join in the soil pipe with collets which (I presume) can't be drilled.
thanks again. didn't thinks the response would be so quick xx
also I'd be interested in the low line traps Stevetheplumber mentioned.

Thanks chaps. off to plumb shops today as buying online sometimes adds huge amount of postage (£40+)

been shopping and bought one today from B&Q for £5 exactly as shown. tried it at home on the bath plug assembly to find the outlet is too high, it hits the underside of the bath and so i'm unable to level the plug bits with the bath bottom and get a good seal, if that makes sense. Its a great piece of kit if the plug housing is deeper than the outlet. the other option is a low level trap a bit like a question mark on its side. would this be classed
as a deep seal trap ?

that one pictured is not deep seal
turn the two piece trap to one side so it clears the bath and re pipe to meet it or get a flexi waste connectorto connect
easy this plumbing isnt it lol

hep 2 0 do a anti vac trap go off the bottom of the bath a 90 degree cap and liner and then connect the trap inline, Iam not sure what the proper name for them is but we call them fanny traps, could you not chop a bit of the floor board out underneath the b an q trap youve bought, not ideal but would get you out of the sh$$.
