Guidelines for quietening one ...
Check incoming mains pressure and flowrates , it has to be close to manufacturers spec .
Check temp over 60 degrees , drop to 55/60 .
Check incoming pressure if its under 3 bar ( ie PRV isnt working , reduce expansion vessel to a touch below incoming mains pressure.
If the vessel is piped through a flexi hose , bin it and hard pipe in 22mm using minimum bends etc .
if its still noisy , this is a rare one but it does happen , just check theres no other mains pressure back feeding the cylinder, ie no balanced used and taken off before the PRV .
 
most key check the pipes are clipped :D
