Hi all,

I am upgrading my external water supply pipe to 25mm MDPE.

I have an external water meter just on the boundary of my property and was wondering what the connection will be off the meter?

could be copper could be a male connection could be a alk connection depends how old and what existing supply is

To be honest backfilling hardly requires a digger.

But, why don’t you hand dig by the meter first thing and then off you go. By the time you’re back the trench will be done- or if you’re doing it you’ll have time to dig - if no time to fill that’s not really a big issue.

However - don’t the water board or building control need to see the pipe in trench before it’s filled?
