Is this only form of heating ? most manufactures advise that fire is not main heat source & that a opening window is required
 
Say that would have been 135cm2 vent required. With or without MIs. 100 for the fire and according to his area measures around 35cm2 must have been a 7kW..
Most manufacturers try to keep gas fire at 6-7kW for the ventilated requirements.
