buckley plumb

can anyone recommend a cheap but good gas leak detector - took me ages this wk to find a leak on a fitting with fluid as it was at the back on a vert pipe I must invest

Plumb centre brand leak spray. It's basically rocol in a different colour can

Very good and all I will use

Good and Cheap tend to be mutually exclusive unless there is a special deal on a good one.

seen some cheap sensors on ebay but sensitivity is 50ppm I am assuming the lower the better the anton one looks ok at £130 but someother makes on there as low as £45

Box of matches ! :wings: , lol.. I use one about the size of a torch think I paid about £20.00 found lots of small leaks with it not sure if they do them in the corgi catalogue,

let me know what make mate

Don't know. I'm looking to get a mk2. I'm too lazy to pump mine

It's out of calibration by a long time. But very cheap to repair if needs it.

There shouldn't be anything wrong with it thou

Ill test it on the cooker if your interested

Does anyone have and know if the kane one is any good? I have but never used before. Always just used the spray. But then the other day I had a leak and could not find with spray and, kane kit was left at home. I should really practice using it

Definately interested mate.

I got a small kane one from toolstation for £55. Use it all the time now over LDF, only use LDF on gas meters and after purging.

got an anton add on for my analyser, and since ive had it couldnt go back to LDF

only problem is it kills the battery

actually 2 problems, i'm going to have to return it when i get sacked or leave my job

I've got the anton agm 50. Worked well till I stood on the sensor head last week :(

Anton is excellent as is the v2 sprint detector which I currently use.

I have the yellow wand from Kane.
It came with my FGA kit. Helped me out a few times.

this is one i use too though it seems to pick up everything the ticks get quicker if its in a dusty enviroment

Yeah I have had that. Lots of things will set it off.
But I find it still lets you know where to investigate when looking for a gas leak
