i had a feeling this was going to happen the guy not going to pay me,he is saying i should have tested the hob connection first,and if i'm honest he's right,i just got caught up in ,the provider isolated the boiler and said the leak was under the floor,it was that tounge and groove flooring a nightmare to get up,and never goes back down the same,how would you handle this cut your losses or fight your corner.
you should always take each job on it own merit use a standard on all jobs regarding your test procedure and take what the customer has to say on board. but verify it yourself and cover your bum
you really should have capped off all appliances and tested the main line first would have only taken you 20 mins capping and doing a soundness test. you would have had your answer main line ok check appliances and no damage to t&g flooring so you can see where the customer is coming from
