always best if the sleeve is as strong or stronger than the pipe going through it IMPO. abs should be avoided.

i wonder if waste pipe has been tested for gas permeability or whatever the term is.

Fibreglass or plastic sleeves are used on service pipes coming out of the ground and the back of meter housings.
Plastic coated copper with intersees are also acceptable methods of sleeving.

So do you order copper sleeving then?? Or use the solvent waste pipe they send like the rest of us :rolleyes:

all these 15mm 25m gas carcus runs to these 36kw boiers im coming across are sleeved in overflow...... :)

nah honestly, ive been using my own off cuts of 28mm for 22mm and on this job pushfit for 28mm as i know ill never see 35mm copper on the job. i could not face using my own 35mm for sleeving somebody elses job.
 
I never iron my pants, if someone else chooses to do then that's their business.
