HI im new to this site, after many years of messing around with boats cars and any other mechanical challange life chucked at me i finally got round to finishing my level2 plumbing ,well almost, which frankly is far too easy..so now looking forward at the gas safe training..
so cutting to the chase will somone let me know what is required in the gas portfollio

cheers paul

your training provider will tell you what you need specifically in your portfolio I have more or less just finished mine Luckily its meant to b changing to a minimum of 800 hours on site soon witch I welcome I actually sat a full apprenticeship like most other plumbers I wouldn't be shouting the odds saying plumbing is too easy that just says to me your completing basic works I would recommend you gain vast experience in all types of plumbing and master that befor attempting to learn gas I have had to work along side some right numptys during my portfolio who know everything on paper but haven't a clue my advice once qualified properly as a plumber give it 5years or so years then sit the gas!

ye cheers woody, never thought it would be easy, only level2,but then wouldnt 800hrs on site give me a foot in the door??

ye cheers woody ,bear it in mind, never thought it would be easy, only level2,but wouldnt 800hrs on site also give me a foot in the door??

correct site work is easy - wait till you get in an occupied house

By site work I think they just mean "on site" whether that's actually a building site or a customers house it doesn't matter

cheers alex that's exactly what I mean onsite as in on the job day in day out I understand what you say in that you find the theory easy but have you practiced It in reality on actual paying work you could come well unstuck
