I know these private colleges are all fraudstars

Sorry, I don't agree with this statement at all, that's the same as saying every plumber is a thief (do you steal from your customers?)
Some are rubbish and some are good same as every other walk in life, you just need to pick a good one through taking time and using recommendations same us people do with you if you are any good at your job

Cheers Ermi, so the nippers got obtain an apprenticeship head down ears open and graft.
What I've done now is had a banner made up size is approx 8 feet by 2 feet 6 inches for fixing to a large trolley we have outside our shop, in one of the slowest and busiest traffic areas in Coventry the banner is shown below.I'll put the banner in place once I've tweaked the website and put it back online.Took it offline as I'm receiving too many phone calls and just passing on gas work to others.
Anyway here's the banner below:

If your lad puts even 75 % of the effort you have put in getting him a job he will be a star! I know it's what we do but it's great to see someone just "being the parent" it's both one of the worst and one of the best jobs at the same time

I have never actually used one, but when you meet them they are all the same they just want your money. There prob are some good ones out there. I have heard a lot of negative stories about them overall tho, you will need to go with one with good feedback for sure.

You need to lead your learning. If you think attending you need to know these places at worst will mugg you and at best just get you to pass exams.

You will be useless and have about as much practical ability as a squid. You need to get good the use the training center to get qualified.

What about the squid who predicted the World Cup? Or was it an octopus...can't remember

Hi all, i enrolled for a gas course today. Apparently if your 19-23 you can get it for free and if your like me 24 plus you can get a student loan for it. Il pay back £7 a month after 2016 only if on a salary of 21k plus which seems worth it.

Just a quick question i saw on a website that you have to retake your acs exam every five years, do you have to retake the whole thing or is it just a update test?

Also if anyone wants the details of the college i used your welcome to pm me.

I agree with KIrkgas..... be careful of these companies, often training is not the best, Ive also heard loads of stories of people who took a day of sick midway through course and were told they would have to start again at day 'one' BUT also pay for the pleasure a second time !!!! ...... READ THE SMALL PRINT AND GET SOME OPINIONS BEFORE YOU PAY OR SIGN !
good luck ;)

I think your right. This gas safe is just to much grief, retake the course every 5 years is a bit too much, id rather just do a course once that last a lifetime. Im thinking about moving away from construction anyway thinking of doing a different course.

A lot of colleges now offer it. It's not a fast track thing,

It's the one I was going to do at East Berks.

I can do it still but I still won't have the gas experience which is what I want first or at least alongside the course.
