Gas Safe

Hi all, i'm an old fashioned plumber having served an apprenticeship in the 60s and now knocking on the door of retirement (with great reluctance i might add) call me a gluten for punishment but i am thinking about doing a gas safe course to maybe service the odd boiler rather than crawl around under baths and sinks etc! can anyone recomend any good courses in the North Lincolnshire area:smart:

Don't know your area, but does it make sense financially to do the course for a bit of part time work?

i don,t think it be worth all the costs involved unless you will be doing quite a lot of servicing

what kind of expense would i be looking at, and how long do the courses normaly run for?

Welcome to the forums,from lincs myself,get yourself to the local colleges and see what they offer,as said a big commitment in time and money,just to do the odd service ect,there are many threads on here about the training required:smile5:

Yes i guess you got it about right, its either get under the feet or her indoors that must be obeyed, or carry on doing something similar or maybe i could hang out with some of you young whipper snappers and wipe a few JOINTS!! (forgive the pun lads)

with condensing boilers you,ve got the cost of an FGA inc callibration you are the only person who knows if its worth it but the costs are high and FGA like to be taken out of the box and used quite a lot
