Hi,
I have been asked to carry out a service on a Gulf Stream A Class 12 and starting this post for any advise. Customer said BG wouldn't service or cover this on there annual scheme so alarm bells started. As this is the first one of these I have come across I was wondering is it an age thing that put BG off or are they really difficult to service or complicated. I have downloaded the service manual but just thought I would see if there is anything special to look at.
Thanks

It's gledhill, get ready for a disappointing call to their spares dept!

I had to go to do a service for a customer and arrived and it was for a gulfstream 2000 - we also refused to take them on cover - appliance was around 12 yrs old but the firm have now gone bust I believe.

so was it the difficulty in obtaining spares the reason for not taking them on service schemes? And the lack of support as company are no longer around?

Ive heard you can get a few spares but the firm im with had no interest. Fair shout I think as I couldnt be ar**ed with it when it breakdown.

They are a nightmare. Parts are stupidly expensive. Hard to work on you need the fault codes but can't get a list from anywhere and need to phone their technical which will cost you a fortune.

In my opinion don't touch unless your ripping it out.
