I keep getting called out to Gledhill Gulfstream A class 12 SS

Does anybody know where I can get all the fault codes as when I phone gledhill I press 2 buttons on the board give them the numbers and they are very good with the codes the only problem is it costs an absolute fortune to phone them.

Yes I agree but the customer should have the manual , I have had the same but on other models and they are very good

Yeah a couple of them have the manuals and ive downloaded it aswell but its massivley out of date and has no fault codes in it when I try to fault find on them its a nightmare so just end up phoning them.

So just wondering if I can download all the fault codes from somewhere as the gledhill tech line just say look in the book but then if their charging 60p a minute from a land line its not in their best interest to give it out so easily

The majority of the codes are in the installers manual.

What's the fault code with the Gulfstream? Can you work out what might be at fault without knowing what the code means?

I agree it's totally out of order to have a premium rate technical line.

Yeah I can get there in the end but it takes a while and time is money to the customer and when the parts cost a fortune aswell its cheaper to go through the fault codes on the pcb then check the part if faulty then replace it.

If i'm there for 30mins it costs them if im there 90mins to find the fault it costs them almost double (Not my prices I work for a company) then plus parts and labour to fit it goes into hundreds of pounds to fix.

Gulfstreams are total pigs to fix. At least they can be.

I'd bite the bullet and call the technical line. Just don't get chatting about the weather!! Or post it up on here, we may be able to help you. I've fixed plenty of Gulfstreams.

I did practically nothing but Gledhill repairs for a while, and still repair about 3 a month. (Not many Gulfstreams I should add!).

Last one I sorted was a blocked condensate.

Video for reason it blocks up is here: Gledhill Gulfstrea, - YouTube

Client is looking for compensation for home builder for faulty installation.

I have had the same problems also and they are not alone heatline charge 60p a minute from a landline and more from a mobile

It seems that most of Tec now charging Preminum rate on calls, can under stand if not GS
Think we should get free phone numbers, Maybe Gas Safe would arrange is for us and include it in yearly charge, Dont hold your breath springs to mind.

your having a laugh ,Something for free LOL , I think vokera are charging a minumum charge of £5 now for anything that is out of warranty. I suppose it may put people off doing boiler breakdowns in the future if they are all going to start charging.
