Gloworm 30 ci Boiler Heating Problem

Can anyone advise me what might be wrong with our boiler? When running the shower (or any other tap) the water is only tepid and wont reach a higher temperature. We've noticed the boiler is constantly firing up and then the flames die down after a few seconds. This cycle repeats itself for as long as the water is running. Does anyone know why and is it an easy fix?

not hard for a gas safe engineer but it does invlove removing the case so not something you can do your self
