Hi
I've recently moved into a property, and the CH was working for a few days but stopped yesterday morning.
The boiler is still operating when demanded for hot water, however when demand for the CH system the pump runs but the boiler doesn't light and the zone valve doesn't move.
I can manually get the CH going but locking the CH zone valve open and dropping the HW temperature to fire the boiler, the CH then operates through the demand for HW.
If I knock the HW demand off the boiler switches off and therefor no CH.
I can hear the relays on the programmable timer clicking when you request, and also with the room thermostat.
Initially there was a fault on the boiler, F11. Which suggests a problem with the flow and return thermisters.
However when the diagnostics are interrogated the thermistors are showing actual temperatures.
Has anyone got any ideas?
Would a faulty zone valve prevent ignition in the boiler.
I appreciate any assistance.
Regards
Danny
