HALL of SHAME PHOTo`s

Does look like sand and cement but actually that's just muddy water. Both pipes just run about a foot underground, not even sleeved or insulated. Brilliant job.

I have to replace a similar set up in October, they asked why their house isnt that warm but the boiler in the garage 20metres away is working ok !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would have been a lot worse if copper pipes, I suppose!
Putting heating pipes into damp ground is just like an indirect cylinder with coil inside it - instant heat transfer.
Laughable that someone with that install will say that they are changing to gas because oil heating is very expensive.

Nice use of electrical connectors on pop- up- waste rod.

also boxed in cistern with no top access in the same bathroom.

The tray was installed and sealed less than two weeks ago.

No wonder there was a water feature in the kitchen when they showered!

They had put the enclosure up and then sealed the tray upto the enclosure. For the sake of 10 seconds work they ballsed the job up. So lazy!

Did they also just butt the tray against the tiles, - or is my eyesight going?

Yes, tray butted up against porcelain tiles.

That wouldn't have been a problem if it was sealed properly though.

It's still not right though should be chased into the wall with about am 8 mm plus overlap of tiles. Not that the customer will be interesting in getting it done properly now though 🙂

Yes, tray should be tight in at it's top edge against the plaster wall & the tiles then have their full thickness to seal between them & tray.

to be honest i would have no problem with what theyve done there some times you have to use a bit of ingenuity and to be fair it looks like its done the job for a fair time
agree that the cysten is pants but who knows what was there first or how much the plumber told the customer how stupid it was
