Heat Exchanger looking tired.

Was out on a boiler servcie today. Everything spot on apart from this tired heat exchanger. The customer did dont want me to take it out and investigate but as everything else was in order I gave the cust a service record and noted it.



Was this the right cause of action ? What would others of done in this situation ?

thats all you can do those old cast iron heat exchangers sometimes show water marks for years before they fail provided its not rotting the case or the burners away

I gave it a good clean (pic taken before clean) and everything else look well and good. Thank you
