Good evening all and welcome to my question time!

I have a honeywell programer on a job and it is calling for heating and hot water. But it is only doing the heating side. If i move the 2 port over manually it works but if i let got it shuts off. I have put an electrical testing pen on the wire to see if it is live and there is power to the 2 port valve, then i turned off the switch on the programer to hot water and the cable is still saying it is live. So i am not sure if the programer is broken or the 2 port is broken. Any help welcome.

No, you take the top cover off and change the motor. The cover is held on with a small philips screw on one side and the motor is held in place with 2 small philips screws. You will also need 2 terminal block connectors

If you do then you can replace the head of the other one and replace the motor at your leisure, then attach it to the spare body and you have a functioning motorised valve to add to your spares inventory for free for another time

Hi Lewisplumber .... Just a recap on your original question and something worth checking B4 you replace the motor ... When you say electrical testing pen I'm assuming you mean the type that glow if they detect the presence of a live wire. Zone valves will always set this pens off as they have a permanent live to them. To confirm that it's the motor that's at fault you really need to verify that you have a 240v between the brown and blue of the motor :)

That said though, the most likely suspect will be the motor :)

Job done. It was the motor Or 2 port. Just replaced the top half of the 2 port as i knew that when i moved it over manually the pipe work got hot. All up and running now. Cheers for the input though lads it all helps.
