Over the last few days we are having problems with the boiler cutting out after a few minutes.

Hot water seems to be fine (although it may be taking a bit longer than normal to heat up), and the flames are all lit. They remain lit whilst the hot water is running (which is correct).

The problem we are having is with the central heating side. The boiler starts up and makes the usual noises. The flames light and remain lit for around 2 minutes, after going off. The boiler continues to make the noise those (as though it is fully working). After about another 5 minutes the flames light again for another 2 minutes. The room temperature is currently around 17 with the thermostat set to 20. We have also tried bypassing the thermostat to put it 'always on', but the same occurs.

Does anyone have any ideas on what the issue may be or any steps to try and narrow down the cause?

Thanks in advance
