Vaillant say you can use there standard flue outside but each joint needs to be sealed with a heat proof silicone, atleast that's what they told me when I had to extend one out a bit.
 
well I have just got off the phone to vailliant technical and they said NO, you can only use the flue terminal as it is. No external runs. Grumpy they were. Very Grumpy
