Glad you got it sorted.

It may have been a blockage on the condense trap / pipe, this would cause the water to back up in h / exchanger and cause lockout... a problem expeienced by many the last couple of winters!

Ok, is the manual vent something I could do myself or should I wait for the plumber?

hold the reset button for several seconds then let go, just a little press isn't always sufficient
