Hi, I am a student and do not have much knowledge of what to do, been searching on the net for a while but need someone to help me in a simplistic way.

I have a Halstead Finest Gold Boiler -- not sure on the model but will the serial number help?
The burner on light comes on when the hot water is run, but it will not come on when the timer is set for the heating. It has happened once before but I managed to rectify it by turning the heating control off for half an hour -- tried it this time but no luck.

I can see that there is a rest button on the bottom of the boiler unit and the main switch. I have though about switching it off or resetting it but do not want to risk it as my landlord is away at the moment and we cannot afford to call anyone out.

The radiators all have been working previously, except in the upstairs room (which just needs bleeding) -- which makes me think that none of them need bleeding -- although I could be wrong.

If anyone knows how I can fix this myself it would be greatly appreciated, or even if you know a link where I can get hold of the manual for free.

Thank you.
