I am a fully qualified plumber but along my way I have gained the experience in many other fields so my main is my everyday plumbing bag then I have a roller tool box with the obscure and non everyday plumbing tools but then I have a tilling toolbox a plastering tool box a electrical tool box, electrical fittings box (used to be full scope part P and my electrician is happy to test and sign off my work) then my joinery box my power tool bag and finally my brickwork trowels and pointing trowels in a bucket also have my corded tools in cases but wasn't including them) luckily I have worked with a lot of decent trades who have taught me lot as 80% of my work Is bathrooms it helps to be able to do It all to a good standard I am one of them people who also likes to buy all the gear even if I only use it rarely I like to have the best I can, I started this thread as I have just been working with a "bathroom fitter" who holds no qualifications what so ever but who does a decent job (doesn't touch electrics) but he had every tool he owns in 1 tool bag 1 powertool bag and a bucket I was amazed! so was interested in what you guys had I will try a picture of part of my tools in the garage tomorrow for this tread too

I like to be organised like you, woody. I have different tool boxes for plumbing, tiling, power tools and odds and sods. I have a mate who just chucks them all in boxes in his van, it takes him ages to find a tool.

Be carefully he don't pick up any of yours and The bucket changes while you're making the extra strong cuppa with extra sugars and a please squeeze the tea bag.... Shift+R improves the quality of this image. Shift+A improves the quality of all images on this page.

I've got tons of different tool boxes. For my day to day work I have a main bag with basic plumbing tools, a bucket with my soldering kit and another bag with my "I may need them once a week tools" that's sits on the van. Then I have my electrical tools in a bag, my service tools in a bag, my tiling tools in a bucket and box, my building/plastering tools in a box, the list goes one and one.

For or powertools I have the individual boxes that I use but for my set of cordless I've got them in one box. It's a lot easier to carry one item either into the house overnight to keep them safe or in the workplace. Only downside is if they get pinched you've lost the lot.

I use an everyday bag with most of the common stuff in it, my combustion analyzer with the digi manometer and torch and stuff in it and then there the second toolbox in the van with the 'occasional stuff' in it.

I've got 5ive. One with the plumbing and the test gear 2wo-tiling 3hree-trowel masonry 4-elecrical and 5th I keep my eyes open cos you never know what other people are really looking at. I've had some problems with customers children and had to leave the room for the moment and the thing is that you never really realise that the extra mile walked away till you've looked into the box.. the thriving loan on a long term basis

I've got these!

One for plumbing & hand tools I need everyday.

One for drills; combi drill, impacts & drill bits in the top in their individual compartments.

One for tiling with spacers & small bits in the top.

One for soldering with torch, flux & off cuts in the bottom, fittings in the top.

One for solvent weld waste fittings in the bottom. Clips, adaptors, wall plugs in the top.

One spare in the garage for whatever else I can think to put in there.

I've got a brick working box too but that's a small wooden one I made myself.

Then I use these for

Screws & plugs
Nails
Nuts & bolts & washers
Fibre & rubber washers, o rings
Electrical bits
Compression fittings
Push fit fittings.

As you can guess, I like to be organised!

I've got various other storage boxes on the van with larger bits & pieces in! Needless to say, I need a bigger van!
