hi lads,

Does anyone have not idea how to fix that leak? Any chance of getting a new part or something?
The leak is coming from where the blue towel is.

Below you will see picture

KIND regards,

Ron

What's with the ar / id label Ron ?

What's with the ar / id label Ron ?
GOOD question,
I haven’t seen the job yet just received pictures today. I have asked her why she hasn’t replaced the boiler yet. She had an offer of British Gas for over 4K ...
Basically, she wanted it temporarily fixed. Shall I not touch it ?

It's a gas boiler ron are you gas safe ?

Flow switch will need replacing. It’s an “o” ring seal and will need the brass face cleaning back up, before reassembly.
No need to be gsr for that bit.

They all leak like this there is an estate near me that has them fitted. whats the best storage combi to replace these (sorry for the thread hijack)

true but the ar / id label and the appliance isolated needs looking at which requires you to be gas safe

just a bit bigger than the max (100mm ish)

Easy switch swap if you do it , SIKA switch I think .
Tighten up with a “ strong hand “ not grips . The big tip is the flow switch has a small arrow on it , make sure you dont get it upside down or the fun will start .

Thanks a lot chalked. Do you know where to get a new one or would you just replace the o ring and clean the rest up ?

I am interested as well, good question. Have you changed the part before ? If so where do I get a new one?

Customer has stated that British Gas has put it there years ago due to the fluid pipe ... whatever that’s means ... I did not understand what she meant by this.

Why has it been turned off then ???

What brand of boiler is it actually ?
Personally Ron. I wouldn’t touch it. These boilers are prone for rusting flue gas parts and flue issues. Do you really want to be the last person that worked on it??? I wouldn’t. A well know company killed someone with one years ago and they were trained engineers.

Ronny leave it alone do you need the hassle what happens if you replace it and the boiler wont work ? Let a GSRi sort it mate . cheers kop
