no hot water from the taps, boiler not firing, although the rads work
 
How are the radiators working if the boiler is not firing?
 
Blocked cold feed or ball valve stuck.

Im presuming it is an old Ideal wrs / wcf boiler with gravity hot water and pumped heating.
