Ok Wendy I understand. That just confirms that the boiler installation 'meets' building regulation requirements. It's not something the boiler manufacturer is overly interested in. From the look of things, my advice will be that you post the job on here and one of the regulars will gladly come and sort it (at a fair price) before the winter sets in.
 
ok I need your help you know that switch I was telling you about (the one with the blue test button and the one with a reset button) well there seems to be a circut board in there and something has gone wrong with it so I need to but a new 1, but where can I get one?

I'm sure you need to do what you can to save money Wendy, but if croppie thinks you are asking advice about how to DIY repair your boiler, he may be tempted to close this thread. Just saying.

That sounds like a circuit breaker. Please don't take it apart or meddle with it. Get an electrician to have a look.
 
As above if it's not resetting there is a fault on circuit and needs an electrician to put a test on it
