was on last week about low mains pressure at a property for fitting an unvented cyilnder on low mains pressure 1-1.5 bar everything gravity fed the project manager has went above me and ordered a pump to go on the cold in the loft for the cold to the cylinder is this possible need advice on this one before it goes all wrong

never heard of a pump on the cold main what are you pumping?it works with a tank as theres a large volume of water it cant work on a cold main thats already slow because its at a constant presure you can not make it faster walk away from this one if you can mate

so a pump coming from the gravity fed cold to an unvented cylinder is not a good idea sound ok in theory pumping cold water from the tank to the cylinder at say 3 bar then hot and cold balanced feeds to all outlets bit pickled with this one cheers

yep sorry bud read it wrong its coming from tank in loft
