Keston or Vaillant - bit confused.

Keston or Vaillant Boilers?

Chaning boiler in our 2 bed flat. Two engineers round so far. One raving about Keston and slaggin Vaillant and the other vica-versa! Was a) wondering if they might be on comission or have a special arrangement with one of these companies which might explain this and b) trying to get some guidance on which to choose.

After something that will go reliabley, quietly and can be serviced if needed.

every installer has his favourite.

The guy who quoted you with a keston probably sticks a lot more on the price of the boiler so his end profit is alot higher than the man who quoted you with the vailant.

Never seen a good keston and after sale is not much better
seen loads on 5 year old kestons taken out,not by your average heating engineer but by keston themselves admitting the boiler is unecomomical to repair
Vaillant are great boilers but they know it and their after sales is getting it a bad name,in the merchants everyone is talking about their decline,alot of manufactorers have got to big for their boots in the past and are now history,think glowworm are using their management skills

Vaillants are Glow-Worms or Saunier Duvals except the badge on the casing, so take your pick!

not sure on how relaible but have fitted a couple of gloworms now and thay seem a nice little boiler but too early to say
vaillant are very nicely laid out with integrated filling loop and easy to hang on your own

im supposing you've all chosen vaillant over keston and replied as such. i bet if you combined the times you've had to wait on the phone for vaillant 'teckkie' help it would be over 10hours!
nothing wrong with keston at all.
