Kitchen sink is a cat 5 fluid risk so must have an air gap present. So if no instructions then a single check valve on both hot and cold as the only contamination can come from hot water into the cold water mains. Hot water being a cat 2 fluid risk.

Thanks tap body mixers are allowed on kitchen sink taps? as long check valves are put on both hot a cold feeds on the pipework?
