As Gas man said, easy to get the plate out and use some cleaner. I don't normally change the washers either, I just use plenty of silicon grease.
 
Whatever you charge per hour plus parts, don't forget collecting and amount of visits are chargeable.
 
Never changed the washers either just clean em and sillicone grease happy days. Plate blocked or the diapraghm both easy to change.
 
It's had a new divertor valve. Everyone keeps saying the plate hex is easy to change... I'm still trying to plan it in my head how I'm going to get my hands in there... Lol..

Drain, undo the two pozi fixing screws. Reach in over the left hand side over the diverter valve. Retract hand with said hex attached.
 
I cannot believe how easy it was to change the plate. Just wanna say a big thanks for everyone's help.... Easiest £100 I've ever earned...
