The Designed Minimum Pressure in UK is no lower than 19mb at ECV outlet but after installation the meter must be set up to give 19-23mb at meter outlet.

yea, that's what I was on about 19mb min at outlet of ecv,
but my understanding is that you could loose another 4mb through meter pressure absorption.
you could have 19mb on outlet of ecv, say due to new pipe been fed through old pipe, therefore you cant increase pressure and Transco can say alls ok.
hope I'm making sense :yesnod:

What service runs at 19mbar? The main in street distributed around >75mbar? If the main in street sized correctly, it will supply most houses at 30mbar ish. The reg cranks down to 19 / 23 mbar. Up Norf most mains been upgraded? Up in the wilds you get 65 standing. I cannot make any sense of this. The pressure is measured at the meter outlet. When did anyone measure operating off of ecv?
If your getting over 23mb at outlet your stealing gas, so if under 19mbar your being robed!

for the first time ever i am shutting a post in the gsr forum as quite frankly its utter toss in all my years as a gas engineer i have never heard so much nonsense
