methods of pricing work

Well, I won't spend hours sourcing materials for a customer and not get something back for it.

If you use the formula, make the mark up costs your own percentage.

Do you use 30% on a two grand posh bathroom and pocket 600 before you pick the tools up? Or is the formula only for the smaller jobs??

I use it right across the board and on most occasions a chunk from that £600 from the 2 grand suite gets used to cover unforseen problems during the installation, like new floors, walls, waste pipe runs and all the other things that you never see until the bathroom is stripped out. Customer is still paying for it, but is happy and thinks "you're" covering the costs, out of the quotation. There is usually still a good bit left to cover the mark up.

I'm a business not a charity.

Its to competative down in devon for 30% mark up on the work i do i have just priced a job with £30,000 worth of materials if i put 30% on that then it would make me non competative.
As you say tho different all round country some plumbs want £1000 a week others are happy with less

How much do you want for an hour?how long do you think it will take? Add wot you need for job plus 10%

We recommend City Plumbing Supplies, BES, and Plumbing Superstore for all plumbing supplies.
