Hello, I went to a job recently that had a smart meter in a mitras semi buried gas meter box. See pic attached. The meter outlet fitting is a factory made welded fitting that allows the meter outlet to line up with the outlet hole on the box. It is not something I had seen before and I was wondering how one would deal with these if you needed to upgrade the pipe run to 28mm as the fittings seem to be 22mm.

You can’t :D not without modifying the meter box don’t know why they couldn’t of lined it up

Thank you Shaun. The matter sits just a bit higher than the hole out for box and also isn't lined up front to back. So not very helpful. There is so little room to play with. It is my understanding that his would be classed as a "semi-concealed" meter box (not semi buried) and so 2 pliable connectors are permitted provided that the meter box restrains the meter or the meter is connected to a bracket and pressure absorption doesn't exceed 4mbar across meter installation (quite how one would work that out I don't know) This is from NICEIC Domestic onsite guide.

Question is what is the pressure absorption across the meter?
