mixer shower constanly hot

What could be the problem with a mixer shower that is constantly hot. And wont change temperature. If the cartidge has gone isn't it just constantly cold?

A thermostatic mixer shower would usually be cold when the cartridge has gone, but a normal mixer shower can fail on hot or cold.

Could be a blockage on your cold water inler. Blocked filter or stuck non-rtn valve. Whats the make and model of mixer?

Thanks would the non return valve by built in to the shower? Guessing likely not. I dont no yet is my friends shower off to look at it tomorrow night

Usually built in to the water inlets of the shower.

Ok if was this by taking it off an manualy pushing the nrv open should it free it?

Take off the shower and rinse the inlets with water, pushing the non-rtns at the same time.
