Hi Gussie. I must point out that you should only be getting this move done by a G3 qualified plumber for (legally enforced) safety reasons!
I assume you are referring to the motorised valve that isolates the heating coil in the cylinder. Whoever does the move will know that the requirement is that the valve does just that. I don't think distance from the cylinder is a problem, as it will do it's job wherever it is in the pipe from the source. (I haven't renewed my G3 for some years, so I stand to be corrected if this has been changed).
If all the other controls are moved as they are, without any pipework mods, then the only other considerations to bear in mind (and your installer will explain) are the installation of adequate extensions to the cold supply and balanced cold outlets (if the latter is fitted); The length and size and termination of of the discharge pipe from the tundish; The electrical supply for any backup immersion heater; and Importantly, the ability of the chosen location in the loft to bear the weight of the full cylinder. (There also has to be adequate access for servicing, with a proper loft hatch and flooring, and you should consider pipework insulation for protection from freezing if this is an unheated space).
Sorry to sound a bit officious... I'm just conscious about safety! The short answer to your question is No.
