just blame the builder and offer a new boiler, if you mount the old one someone will connect it up!
 
Thanks all with this. Sorry just in. Custard has decided to go new thank god. AND are even looking at a decent boiler
 
never understood people who spend XXk on extension but keeping old half carp boiler. why not spent 2-3k more and have peace of mind, they rather keep old plonker boiler. Anyway, good for you mate ;)
 
tell them as they could save up to/more than £310 a year on gas bill with new boiler, seems to get the custs money peckers twitching. Then just ly on the smooze and go on about 30% savings with new controls etc etc etc. Money talks and this usually gets them listening
