Thanks lads! Just spilling a few tears over a JD and Coke because I've held them back for 3 days and nights from the missus to keep her strong. If she'd seen me well up she'd have lost it but she was an absolute hero throughout - her pain threshold is unbelievable, refused every pain relief offered until we decided she and the baby had gone through enough. Ended up having all on offer in the end for the sake of the baby. Absolute hero she is, sobbing as I type this and thank you all really! I know it's just a private thread on a forum full of plumbers I've never met but your kind words have helped so much during this journey.

Crying my effing heart out right now due to [equally] fatigue and joy. Feels good though, off to give my swollen ankles a rest now, thanks ever so much!
What a great post Keefy, straight from the heart, only a father can fully understand the emotions running at the moment.
Take care, Congratulations to you all, what a new year it is going to be.
Best wishes
Chris

Congratulations to you both. Excellent post Keefy. Sounds like you had a very similar experience all round to my wife and I on the 23rd of Dec last year. Our little man has just turned one and reading your post brought the whole delivery room and emergency c section theatre experience flooding back. I know how mentally drained you must feel. Maje sure the wife takes it easy. Im sure tge docs run you through it but its important she doesnt exert herself physically in any wat while she is healing up. That means all the baby lifting is up to you. Then again ours was a bit more of a lump at 9 pound 2.

many many congratulations to you both our first born was a girl and wouldn't swap her for the world

Well done both of you, I cried like a woossey when we had our girl, a true man can show their emotions ( that's what I keep telling myself)

Enjoy every minute as it all goes so fast!

Well in lid! That's one more scouser to inherit the earth ;-)

Cheers lid! Because she was born in Whiston I think she has to be registered in Prescot which is still Woolly Back Land - trying to find out if I can register her in Liverpool. She'll never forgive me if she has Lancashire or something on her birth certificate.

As for everyone else who's replied here I'll have to run through the thread again because there are some posts I'd like to reply to - kind replies mind! ;)

When I have time I'll get back to you all.

Edit: Oh my god it's 23:59 - HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!! BEST WISHES AND I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A PROSPEROUS 365 DAYS AHEAD!

Keefy and family! ;)

Many congratulations Keefy! Hope all of you are well and enjoying this special time together!

missed out on this one,, good on you both keefy, my missus had 3 c sections, i went in for the third only as others were both emergencies and I wasnt allowed. Waste of time coz when I saw what they had done it was down on the knees and crawl out of there!!, was worse than anything Tarantino could film imho. So for you to survive the whole thing deserves a proper pat on the back :)

Congrats Keefy look after them...........what about the pigeons too lol

Mrs had 1 sunroof and one natural with a cut, jeez as LP says your brave if can watch

Chuffed to hear the good news. Massive congratulations pal. Have fun. And get as much sleep as you can over the next month. This will be the most tiring month of your life!!

And is this how it happened?....
