Hello All,

I'm having a new heating system fitted, the gas fitter has recommended an Alpha 34 whereas I was planning on having an Intergas combi fitted. I've tried searching for reviews on the Alpha combis but have not had much luck. What are your opinions on these two combi manufacturers,

Many thanks in advance.

My tip would be not alpha! Unless you own a good supply of buckets.

The intergas is a good solid piece of kit if you can put up with the looks.

Intergas +1
good piece of kit.
alpha spares alone are far more expensive than most makes.

why does anyone consider looks to be a problem with intergas, if looks were an issue 80 percent of the forum members wouldnt have a partner :)

Steer clear of Alpha! Intergas are a fair boiler, but very amateur looking.

I'm registered blind and married my wife because she as woman in Braille across her chest!

Thanks for all the replies, looks likes its going to an intergas one, I was going for a Baxi Duotec but was impressed by the intergas at the merchants, a lot less to go wrong but for similar money.

I though it was Alpha versus Intergas! Not versus Baxi. That's a different comparison.

Impressed by intergas? Or the sales pitch from merchant who has the biggest margin on intergas?
