No, but I may have to invest in a camera? There another expense?🙁
We recommend uHeat for Underfloor Heating Systems, and The Wetroom Store for all things bathrooms and wetrooms. They provide discounts for forum members.
Welcome to the forum. Although you can post in any forum, the USA forum is here in case of local regs or laws
I'll have a look into them
What model of flir have your got if you don't mind me askingDo you have access to Thermal imaging? . I've got a FLIR that plugs into the bottom of my phone, use it on UFH all the time, will show you where and how the heat is moving around, if you let the system all go cold then return the next day hopefully that will shed some light on the problem
Thanks a lot for your reply is much appreciated. Do you remember what model it was ? Must have been a massive help and a relief for youFlir One for ios, i've hire £4000 worth of Thermal imaging in the past and while the Flir is not at that level of imaging it's amazing value for money and definitely up to the job.. i had a job recently in a school that had 7 manifolds supplying 30 zones all with rf stats, the loops hadn't been laid to the drawings, but the stats had been associated to the drawing resulting in stats calling zones they weren't in .. I worked through the building one loop at a time tracing it's route with the Flir and marking up the manifolds, i then cleared the channels on the controllers and repaired all the stats correctly, was a long process and took 2 days, but couldn't have done it without thermal imaging and drastically cheaper than buying/ hiring a £4k camera 🙂
The model is a Flir one for iOS. Type it into google mate. It will come up. I have just done the same. Just over £200.00Thanks a lot for your reply is much appreciated. Do you remember what model it was ? Must have been a massive help and a relief for you

Never used one mateIs not a bad price if you need to use a flir camera. Does this model do the job if so that's not bad, I guess quite a good investment
All of the returns now have non returns on them. It's not heating season, so the only demand on the primaries at this time of year, in your average household (correct me if this is not the case and the users are foreign) should be for hot water and reverse circulation would occur if the cylinder is not the last T on the boiler return, thus allowing hot primary return from the cylinder to find its way into the heating circuits.
All of the returns now have non returns on them.
I do like your thinking. But It does not happen when the hot water is on. Only when the UFH is switched on?
The heating circuit MZV is brand new. I fitted a new one from the suppliers incase the old one was temperamental and no power to the valve when UFH is on at all not even the 50/75volts you sometimes get when they are back feeding.Ok. Now getting more of the story which is probably in the previous posts but that's easy to miss until one joins the party😉
If this only happens on demand for UFH then what is the mzv for the rad curcuit doing at that call? Does it open up? Check wiring to it from stat(s) is there a backfeed that is energising it?
Maybe it's faulty and staying open. I'd isolate it electrically from the circuit and then fault find on it if the problem goes away during isolation.
Think I willThermal image it 😉
