Hi,

I'm new to the Forum so accept my apologies if this has been posted before!:)

My problem is when I turn the upstairs shower on the hot water pipe feeding the shower is noisy. A sort of creaking noise is best way I can describe.

It doesn't start straight away, only after the water becomes hot out of the shower. All other hot water taps/feeds are fine and there is no noise.

The house is about 10yrs old and all the pipes are lagged in foam so they cannot be vibrating on anything - and anyway, it doesn't sound like a vibrating type noise more a creak.

Any ideas/guidance would be much appreciated as it's drivign me mad!

Cheers!

It will be tight against some timber and the creaking is as it expands. You need to try and narrow it down. Ideally make the hole bigger but melting some candle wax over the area often helps.
