odd job man

Got asked by a letting agent I do a lot of work for if I'd be interested doing a coupe of jobs they usually get their odd job man to do,
1) clearing out a loft and putting in new insulation in a small terraced house where they've had problems with rats. (The pest guy has got rid of the rats now) - They've been quoted £900 and if I can do it any cheaper I've got the job. - about 2 days work

2) Clearing out an empty 1 bed flat, carpets & small amount of rubbish - about £450
Did the lgsc on this one and reckon it would take a day max

Seems to me the odd job man is on £450 a day

Sometimes I think I'm in the wrong business

that's crazy money for something which is so simple anyone can do it, how does that price justify that work ? lol madness

cleared out the small flat yesterday, they wanted the carpets left so ended up charging £325 for an afternoons work :yes:
The day before I fitted an electric shower, replaced a ch pump & did a landlords cert - to make about £200.

- anyone want to buy some tools lol.
