I've always wanted to go sea fishing. Even if I'm just pulling mackerel out on feathers. Used to love fly fishing

im going down the "linecaught" bass idea at the moment (longline and trawling lures) ! but will also put a gillnet down , any discards from the net can go to use as lobster pot/whelk pot bait , ill fish around 30 pots! thats the plan anyway! trying to run it as sustainable as i can!! is that dell quay fisher in the photo yours???

Yes, that's a Dell Quay fisher in my avatar. Lovely little boats I sold her in April, I've got an IP 23 now

ive just bought a 18ft commercial fishing boat with the licence, ill do it in the evenings / weekends and then see how it goes, if i wasnt a plumber , id definatley be a fisherman!

A licence to spend money on a par to buying a yacht or being daft enough to say yes to a horse!!. 2/3s of our lifeboat crew sewem to own or work on charter boats and only one of them is making a return on his expenditure, he's the one who has sold on his boats to the rest of them
