Hi, this is my first time on a forum so hopefully will get to the bottom of this. I'll do my best to keep this straight to the point;
1. Boiler kept locking out after about 30 mins of central heating.
2. About 4 weeks later boiler cut out and would not reset.
3. Found APS hose connections melted and blocked.
4. Drilled out hose connections as have to wait till tomorrow for new switch to arrive.
5. Boiler runs fine with internal cover off.
6. Internal cover refitted flame turns yellow and cuts out.
7. Removed fan and checked for freeness and also checked Venturi for blockages, both appear ok.
8. Removed flue and inspected, again appears ok.
9. Refitted everything and same fault occurs?

Could the fan be running too slow to remove gasses even though it is free to turn?

Any help will greatly appreciated.
