Hi

Just looking for a few suggestions to throw past my boiler installer when he comes back in a couple of days.

I've got a Potterton 24 Eco HE that has recently started to stay running (can hear it all the time and instant HW) but also does not respond in any way to the Drayton room thermostat (no water to the radiators). My plumber thought it may be the thermostat when he came around today but didn't have any other ideas at the time, I know what it's like being on the spot trying to think of solutions so told him to nip off home to have a think about it (I don't need the heating now and am just leaving it turned off and turning it on just when I need some HW).

Any ideas I could throw past him when he comes back and the replacement thermostat isn't the answer ?

Oh - it did this the first time about 10 months ago but it then came right the day after I rang my plumber so I told him not to waste his time coming around.

Cheers
Tom

Hi tom, this is an easy one and if your plumber doesn't know get one that does :)

I hope so too, he's the son of a workmate and I'm not good at 'firing' people. No technical advice needed (I'm an electrical person and keep well away from gas), just ideas.

Sorry if this is the wrong type of forum (i.e gas professionals) to ask.
