I have an old Vokerara 20 80 Flowmatic boiler, I know it's old :whatchutalkingabout. I have had British Gas out 3 times in last week and a half. First time was because I had no hot water and they changed the pump. This is fixed. The other 2 times were because the central heating is staying on and the radiators are roasting. They changed electrics, micro switch at one visit and it worked ok for about 10 hours then I ran a bath and once I turned the bath off the boiler stayed on and fired up the central heating. They came back today and they put in a new diaphragm and it worked fine until about an hour ago when I ran the tap in the bathroom sink and the same thing happened, the boiler stayed fired up and central heating came stayed on. Any ideas what it could be, I was wondering about the valve? If it is, can it be replaced?

:welcome: to the forum ... alas replying to anything technical isn't something we condone on here... :) Sounds like you have a bg contract or more money than sense! lol .. Leave it with the bg guys .... They'll get there in the end or convince you that you need a new boiler!!! That's most likely a worthwhile consideration but not a have to do to overcome your issue IMHO :)

post on here for an engineer to visit you and resolve the issue, just need your location, and then you can bin bg
