prv pipe into condensate waste ?

Just fitted a Vaillant in a airing cupboard no out side wall anywhere but fitted condensate into pipe leading into the adjacent bathroom the prv is tee'ed into the 40mm push fit with a tundish sited just under the boiler.Not my ideal installation ,a blow off kit on the rad circuit would spoil too much decoration. Any views on this,i am a bit lazy to too a search with an army of kids banging on the door trick or treat

what di the mfis ask for, if they say what you have done is ok then your fine, if not dont ask for opinions on here is my advice.

yeah too true,just wondered if osma pushfit used on unvented D2 it would be ok in this situation

probably as its only a heating system and not 300l of steam escaping fm a cyl

i was thinking along those lines,its a bang tidy installation just didnt want some nobby boiler agent making me look a imbecile infront of the custard

I didn't think you was allowed due to the potential high temperature of the water being blown off?

if you can run the prv fm a unvented in pushfit plastic then that fm a heating system shouldnt have any issues

I've only ever done them in copper. Hopefully you can connect straight into wastes etc. would make my life easier, i assume you make a trap before connecting into the waste system?

boiler blow offs into waste system is standard practice on many high rise flats, But theres no other alternative for them.

could you not have lifted floor boards and run to external wall?
did you put a hepvo valve/ trap in the run?

solid floors , fitted a running trap on the waste so the condensate should keep the trap charged

The newer viessman's combine prv and condensate in the boiler case, I'm surprised more manufacturers haven't started to do this yet.

Unless you have MI/manufacturer conformation that this may be done this way then be prepared for said "nobby boiler agent" digging you up for it. :tounge_smile:

went to look at a faulty zone valve on a recent installation,which had just had a recent visit from a service guy from a well known manufactuer, the system boiler hadnt been fitted with a bypass ,also the expansion pipe had been capped off on the unvented,no tundish fitted,the temperature pressure relief valve was tee'd into the prv on the system boiler. A TRULY HORROR SITUATION the custard says the service guy never mentioned any of the above. So on second thoughts i can stand a bit off nobbing from the agent

Heat team went to faulty tezzera today as kept getting 6 red flashes (boiler had been working fine) rather than say it was a faulty component, the brick told custard it was connected incorrectly....,,. Absolute wnkr. L n e on a fly lead and an open therm stat. The cheek!
