well today i had to buy a pump locally for a breakdown...... pts was £90, TP was £87 and local independant was £66. all inc vat. Just goes to show you need to shop around and not every merchant is trying to rip you off yet.

Dirk, I know what you mean mate but what takes prescidence, the mi's or the EUP directive which steers the mi's?

To my knowledge the MI as they should follow regulations at the time of production.

And to my understanding what ever is in the case and legalized does need specific ruling for having to be altered. For changing the pump specs you would normally need to ask for a registration of the change and a new G.C. number should be issued?

But I can assure you that some of the older vaillants do have sufficient space for an Alpha 2 pump head . I heard somewhere.
