having a 24kw Intergas OV fitted on Wednesday. trouble is I posted a question on the Uk intergas site asking if its ok to use softened water in the circulating side and I had no reply. ive just sent another email direct this time, but time is running out. the installer says its a no no, but I thought that was on systems where some old inhibitors reacted with the softened water?

i cant see why not on an intergas as the heat exchangers are all coper waterways but i would still check with intergas

It should be in the Manufacturers instructions.
If in doubt don't use softened water to fill the system

The only warning I can see is the Warranty is void if the boiler is exposed to hair laquer???
