Only you know what your worth. Charge what you think is right.

I've got one to do this week, new radiators, new valves, imperial to metric, going to try extensions to avoid altering pipework, drain down required, sealed system, material costs about £70-80, quoted 195, customer accepted. I think that's slightly on the cheaper end, but that's my opinion.

Someone else might have charged more, someone else less, as long as your happy with your price, and customers happy with you, that's all you need.

There's no point quoting a low price and then putting yourself under pressure, or end up working for nothing.

I think thats about right. depending on area, on average I charge £200 for new rad, incl rad valves etc.

Problem is cost of parts can get out of hand, every olive, roll of ptfe, bit of solder, flux, gas, nothing is free.

I have a friend who will price a job and then add £10 for sundries.

Rather than price, you need to have and hourly rate in mind so you can judge from there.

If your comparing then its easier v's someone else's rate rather than a job - impossible to price most jobs without seeing first.

Here's what we might charge - rad price not inc.

1.Rad straight swap inc picking it up £95.00 or + £20 if a long way out NO NEW VALVES
2.Rad swap with v. little altered pipework/or new valves cause its too long/short etc. £120 +£20 + chemicals etc cause drain down etc.
3.New rad installation where there has never been one - impossible to put on here

These prices are for new customers whom we dont know - regulars etc. less of course

1 & 2 would mean whoever is doin it going to do another job that day. wge for engineer+ some 4 me
3 is a days job in a domestic lived in property
